Linda’s love for design started when she was a child. At the age of 10 she began to dream up rooms she wanted to live in after moving to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. She came to understand how important beauty and expression were in her life. Since that time, she has always sought to create warm and dramatic environments, while striving to understand the needs of others.
She holds a B.A. in Fine and Performing Arts, with a concentration in painting, holds a certification in Interior Design, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She is sensitive to, and interested in, the ways that the visual environment impacts our emotional lives. She loves the challenge of mixing color, texture and pattern to create unique and personal interiors. She also enjoys the interplay of form and the juxtaposition of one object against another.
As a result, she is not confined to her own love of traditional, antique and glamorous environments, but sees the design process as a canvas of balance and sentiment unique to her friends and clients.
Linda also enjoys flower arranging, decorative painting for interiors, studio painting, teaching art, drapery design, cake decorating, writing and sewing. She loves collaborating with her partners and others in order to create a satisfying outcome.
Oh, and she also loves to accompany Tricia on dumpster dives to see what trash can be made into treasure!

Tricia is one of those people who pretends she knows nothing...and is oh so humble...except when you see her with her brother Rob! That's when you learn that both are very competitive indeed and you better watch out! She is like the proverbial onion: You have to keep pulling back layers to learn new things. Full of talent and surprises, she'll have you rolling your eyes in disbelief. But you have to be at the right place at the right time to find out! For example, after years and years of knowing this woman, she happened to state one night (when caught off guard) that she had once won 2nd place (SILVER, for crying outloud) for her snow carving at the world reknowned Sapporo Snow Festival (now attracting more than 2 million people making it one of the biggest events of Japan's festival calendar). Please! (Yes, and that was accompanied by our rolling eyes!)
Tricia is multi-faceted, somewhat of a perfectionist and takes pride in her work...not for anyone else mind you. She's just tough on herself. But she loves anything creative, whether she is creating a Halloween costume from scratch, or constructing a beautiful bench or shelves from pieces of salvage or building something using her late father's tools and a workshop that makes all the neighborhood men drool.
Tricia can do anything she puts her mind to. Not only can she do carpentry, she is a seamstress, a culinary bakery wonder, and flower arranger. Long ago, she was the State Historian for the Future Business Leaders of America. Oh really? Yeah, it gets kind of sickening! Smile!
Tricia has done caricatures as well, and let's not forget that she has won so many bake-offs that I don't even want to talk about it. Enough of this! She is starting to make the rest of us feel badly!
Oh, and Tricia has been cited in the Daily Press for her dumpster diving! She has vision that can take any trash and make it into treasure. Stay tuned...I'm sure there's something we are missing!

Below: THIS delicacy below is NOT beauty!! But it is a great dish of jello brains for sublime Halloween fun! And Tricia loves an event!

Above: An old table which had the legs cut off was painted with a decorative finsh and made into a cocktail table. We donated it to an auction for homeless children. Then a client bought the table and we placed it between two chairs and in front of a large picture window where it's size was perfect to keep from obstructing the view.

Above: Biscuit, Linda's cat. Did you know that dogs may serve you but cats have staff? Biscuit discovers the flokati rug in Linda's living room and claims it for his own!

Tricia loves to celebrate and rarely misses a chance to create a work of art with her cakes and desserts.

Edible flowers adorn the "dirt cake" in the pot.
